Ocular Vitamins

Macular Protect Complete provides the AREDS formula vitamins and minerals found to preserve eyesight in the landmark AREDS clinical trial, sponsored by the National Eye Institute.  This product is an excellent value since it’s a convenient, all-in-one formula that provides powerful protection for macular and whole body health. In addition to the AREDS formula, Macular Protect Complete also includes a robust multivitamin component, which means you don’t need to take an additional multivitamin.

Macular Protect Complete contains a blend of antioxidants and zinc at levels found to preserve eyesight in the AREDS clinical trial.  It provides 10 mg of bioavailable FloraGLO® lutein and 1 mg Zeaxanthin, consistent with the latest scientific findings.  This product features complete multi-nutrient support with 30 additional nutrients, including a diverse array of bioflavonoids, antioxidants and other essential vitamins and minerals to protect the health of the whole body.  Recently, the formula was improved to now include trans-resveratrol, turmeric, and more B6 & B12!

Macular Protect Complete is made from premium ingredients in NSF-Certified facilities.  The recommended dose is four capsules per day (two capsules taken orally, twice daily).  Kearney Eye Institute carries MacularProtect Complete-S because it’s an appropriate choice for smokers and non-smokers alike.

Kearney Eye Institute also carries the Macular Protect Omega-3 Companion that provides 1,000 mg of omega-3 at the levels of EPA (650 mg) and DHA (350 mg), being tested in the ongoing, second Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS 2).  An additional 1 mg Zeaxanthin is included for additional ocular health benefits.  When paired with Macular Protect Complete, this combination provides nutritional support for those with age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
